Technology Specs

In this section, I’ll be discussing about all the technology specifications such as iFit, Display, In-Built Workouts and Heart Rate.

iFit

iFit® Coach Ready™ helps you to download a couple of your favorite places from Google Maps and you would actually feel like your running out there in the real world. For instance, if you download a city like Barcelona, you can see beaches in the display screen. If you pick a hilly area, the treadmill’s inclination will start to increase. How cool is that???

Display

When you do any form of exercise, the first thing you do is keep asking questions like “How many calories did I burn?”, “What’s my heart rate?” or “How much distance did I cover?”. The 7” Backlit Oversized LCD with RaceTrack™ Display provides you with accurate stats like calories, heart rate, distance covered etc. You need not worry about this stuff at all.

In-Built Workouts

There are 32 different workouts which contain Inclined, Speed, Calorie, Intensity and Mixed training. If you use these workouts, you’ll feel like there’s a personal trainer with you at that particular time. These programs have been designed by professional trainers and they help you achieve your goals as quickly as possible.

Heart Rate

It is mandatory to monitor your heart rate to ensure that you stay on the right track. When you finish purchasing the ProForm Pro 2000 Treadmill, you get a free wireless chest strap. This chest strap interfaces with the treadmill as you keep wearing it. Now, make sure that you hold the two EKG Grip sensors as it allows the heart rate to be displayed accurately throughout your training.

Engineering Specs

There are lot of factors which come under engineering specifications. In the next few paragraphs I’ll be focusing on the Belt, Speed, Incline, Decline and Cushioning System. Let’s go!!!

Belt

The 22” x 60” Commercial Non-Stretch 1-Ply Tread Belt gives your legs extra room to freely without blocking yourself. The length of the belt is 60 inches long and it feels like your running on the road without any destruction whereas, the belt is 22 inches wide which avoids your elbows from hitting the handle bars.

Speed

The maximum speed provided by the Pro 2000 is 12 MPH (19.3 KPH). The 0 – 12 MPH Digital QuickSpeed® Control allows you to change speed and it can very powerful due to the 3.5 CHP Mach Motor which I’ve mentioned in the table above. This is an advantage if you’re a sprinter (if not, try to become one).

Incline

This one of the most smartest feature only the best treadmills out there could have. Now, how on earth do I burn more calories? The answer is right here! 0 – 15% Digital Quick Incline™ Control assists you in burning 2x more calories than running on a flat surface. Studies have shows that you can burn 2X more calories and much quicker as well. You can now say “Goodbye to belly fat” or wherever you have the fat deposited. Hahaha, I’m kidding!

Decline

Not many treadmills offer this as it’s quite distinctive. You now have the option to decline up to 3% and you would feel like your running downhill. Most of the marathons conducted all over the world have negative grade. Activating 0 – 3% Digital Quick Decline™ Control helps you to control your body mass significantly.

Cushioning System

I get this from a lot of people saying that “My knees hurt real bad after I finish my workout”. This probably happens if the treadmill is like a rock or if the manufacturing company might have missed out on adding that extra cushion. The ProShox™ Cushioning prevents your legs and your hips from getting pains/injuries. I can guarantee you that it’s the best!!!

Comfort Specs

This is the last type of specification which I’ll be discussing in this blog on ProForm Pro 2000 Treadmill Reviews. Before I start up with this I’ll get into the audio and speaker systems. You have an option to plugin your auxiliary wire to the Audio Auxiliary Port. The sounds generated by (2) 3” Digitally Amplified Long-Throw Speakers with Digital Volume Control is amazing! I highly recommend that you listen to good music while working out (it helps a lot).

In this segment, we will look into Folding Deck, Tablet Holder and Handlebars.

Folding Deck

From the past decade, more and more treadmills are introducing something called EasyLift Assist System. This feature is kinda common to most of the ProForm treadmills. If you want to fold your treadmill once your done with your session, the SpaceSaver® Design with EasyLift™ Assist helps you to fold your treadmill and it’s actually quite light!

Tablet Holder

I don’t wanna point out any fingers to other companies out there but when they offer a Tablet Holder, it covers the display screen completely and you won’t be able to look at the calories you’ve burnt and stuff like that. With Pro 2000, you won’t have this problem as it provides Integrated, Adjustable Tablet Holder with DeVice Grip™ Design. You can even watch your favorite TV shows/movies while you workout. I’d say focus on fitness than entertainment.

Handlebars

Lots of customers have been saying that blisters tend to form around the palms of their hands while holding onto the grip for such a long amount of time. This is definitely natural but, it can be avoided with the right grip material. You must thank the Premium Firm Grip™ for saving your hands!! Little tip: You should thank it after you buy it!!

Pros & Cons

Before coming down to the conclusion, I would like to take some time to include pros and cons of this treadmill.

Pros

Most of the pros have already been discussed in detail in the table as well as under specifications so I won’t be stressing out much on the pros. Let’s skip this and start with the cons.

Cons

  • Customer Service: ProForm is a very busy company as it ships it’s equipment’s every single day throughout different parts of the world. Don’t be surprised if it takes time for you to order the treadmill parts or other stuff.
  • Return Policy: If your not happy with the treadmill, you can return it back as ProForm offers 30-day money back guarantee. However, you have to pay shipping fee if you want to send the equipment back and some amount for restocking fee.

Our Final Verdict

As described above, the ProForm Pro 2000 Treadmill contains tonnes of features/attributes. The motor consists of in-home efficiency booster which means that you can run it for every single day without consuming lavish amounts of electricity.

There are 2 more models in the Pro Series which are ProForm Smart Pro 5000 and ProForm Smart Pro 9000. I’ll be covering these in the next blogs. I don’t want to make this summary any longer cause I think I’ve explained everything in a detailed manner.

If you have any questions regarding this treadmill, please leave the questions in the comments box below and I’ll get back to you within 24 hours.

  1. Very interested in this Proform Pro 2000 model because I’ve heard that the incline feature is second to none at this sort of price range.

I’m normally a road runner, 5 miles every morning, but I live in Wales UK. This means that getting out on the roads at this time of year is hard due to the weather…which is where a treadmill with an incline feature steps in.

How easy is it to store this model – does it take up a lot of room or can it be scaled down when not in use?

    1. I’m pretty sure that you’ve heard right Chris! In fact, increasing the gradient can help you to burn 2 times more calories and boosts your stamina and endurance. It’s possible to fold the treadmill and keep it one corner once you’re done with the training.

As I’ve mentioned in the table, the footprint’s dimensions are 77.2” L x 39.5″ W x 70” H so it should fit quite easily in your room.

Thanks a lot for using the comments box and I hope I’ve answered all your questions.

  2. Fantastic review over the ProForm Pro 2000 Treadmill. I must say I am not a big fan of the name of the treadmill but you have nothing to do with that.

Your review was very thorough and provided answers to all my questions I had. Thanks for the pictures and the video as well because I am a visual person and this helps me when I go and make decisions.

Again, thanks for the very informative review.
